A game bug was recently discovered in Diablo III that turns your character invincible, perhaps the most adequate term for which is “God Mode”.
Now, a lot of players are against this bug, even the people who have discovered it, particularly because the bug was being used on hardcore mode and because the game itself is tied to the Real Money Auction House, a feature in Diablo III that enables players to sell their rare items for real money.
The video below shows a Diablo III wizard in god mode fighting Belial the Lord of Lies one on one.
A user on the Blizzard forums had the initiative to post instructions (on the official forums itself) on how to enable the Diiablo III god mode glitch using a wizard.
Step 1: Select Teleport – Fracture. Bind it to a key
Step 2: Select Archon, tested with Improved Archon
Step 3: Hover your mouse over or near your charcter
Step 4: Press Teleport
Step 5: QUICKLY(!) Press Archon
This major bug, depending on a person’s view, is a blessing or a curse on Diablo III. If you’ll remember the AAA title received a lot of flak for centering the game around the RMAH, not the other way around.
Abuse it as you might, Blizzard is threatening to give away bans (although no one has been banned yet with this exploit correct me if I’m wrong). So please, don’t use this on your valued account. Scratch that, please don’t use this at all.
Good news: Blizzard is currently rolling out fixes for the said god mode bug. Bad news: The god mode bug is not limited to the wizard class. Monks, Demon Hunters, and Barbarians are also able to use the Diablo III invulnerability glitch. How exactly, I don’t know. But if you know where to look, well, yeah.
