Good news to all DJ Max fans: The latest installment of the DJ Max Series, Technika Tune, is slated for release in North America and Japan at September 27 this year.
If you’ll recall, various titles of the rhythm game were released in the PlayStation Portable. Now that the ruling mode of rhythm gaming is via touch input, Neowiz Mobile, Cybrefront, and Pentavision Global seems to be taking advantage of the lead produced by the arcade ports of their game, DJ Max Technika, Technika 2, and Technika 3.
There’s still no clue on how optimized DJ Max Technika Tune is on the PlayStation Vita: Is the game optimized for the front and back touch panels of the handheld only, or would physical buttons still play a big role in the game? Based from the trailers, it’s as though the arcade version of DJ Max Technika was ported to the handheld version combined with the handheld menu UI.
The North American Version of DJ Max Technika Tune will carry 67 songs, including songs from Korean girl group Kara and the classics from previous DJ Max titles.
DJ Max Technika Tune will come as a digital download later this year. Limited editions of the game would also be available, albeit a larger tag price.
‘Till my next installment.
