Flame 2.0 Quad Core Processor"s Effect on Battery Life

Flame 2.0 is officially the first quad core smartphone with a local brand. The quad-core processor is ARM Cortex-A7 clocked at 1.2 GHz.

The quad core processor of Flame 2.0 will allow the same or better speed of operation compared to dual core phones at a lesser energy input. This means that the 1600 mAh battery of Flame 2.0 will last longer than the battery of the Flare.

Flame 2.0 is also fitted with a 1 GB RAM which will make multitasking a swift experience. Many of us open several apps at once resulting to lags in our devices. This won"t happen with the Flame 2.0"s RAM.

Flame 2.0"s 4.5 Inch QHD Screen

Looking at the screen of Flame 2.0, you will be amazed at the clarity of the text and graphics since it has 540 pixels horizontally and 960 pixels vertically - that is what QHD means.

The screen of Flame 2.0 can also accept multiple touch input which is good in playing games.

Tilting the screen won"t affect the colors of the LCD screen because it is equipped with IPS technology.

Flame 2.0"s 5 MP Camera

This has been sacrificed for the quad-core processor to bring down the cost of Flame 2.0.

Instead of an 8 Megapixel camera, Flame 2.0 has a 5 Megapixel Autofucos camera with LED flash at the back. You can also use it to take a high quality picture of yourself because its back cover is shiny - it can used as a crude mirror.

The front camera is a VGA one  but there"s more that these cameras can do. Samsung Galaxy S4 was so proud to be the first smartphone to enable picture-in-picture feature - that is, you can take a picture or video from the back and front camera  at the same time. But that"s not going to be exclusive to Galaxy S4 because Flame 2.0 can also do that!

Not So Fast Internet Speed and Other Perks

As you can expect, there are some areas where the Flame 2.0 performs poorly. One of those is the slow internet connection speed. Flare 2.0 does not have the capability to connect to a HSDPA network.

Flame 2.0 can only connect to EDGE, GPRS and UMTS 3G which is slightly slower than HSDPA. This might annoy some users but if you use Flare 2.0 within a WiFi powered mall, school or workplace, you can enjoy fast internet connection speed.

Expect Another "Flare" Day

Flame 2.0"s overwhelming specs and features will surely attract tech enthusiasts and ordinary consumers alike. When Cherry mobile launched the Flare, the Flare Day happened when people started lining up for a locally branded smartphone!

Flame 2.0 will be available on April 2013 at  ₱ 6,999.00 only. Are going to be there on Flare 2.0 Day?

Lenvo Ideaphone K900 Specs, Price and Features (Powered by Intel Atom)

Get Excited! K900 is just 6.9 mm thick with Intel Atom and Android 4.2.

Lenovo"s newest flagship phone is the Ideaphone K900 - an Intel powered dual core smartphone that runs Android Jelly Bean on a thin body and scratch resistant 1080 high definition display and a lot more features.

Have you heard Lenovo"s plans to take on the mobile industry"s giants Samsung and Apple? Well, here"s their new Ideaphone to compete with Samsung"s Galaxy and Apple"s iPhone. Let"s see if it can stand up to the fierce competition.

K900"s Intel Processor, Android 4.2 and 2 GB RAM

Ideaphone K900 comes prepared when it comes to the processing power. Unlike Samsung and Apple, Lenovo ventured into partnering with Intel for K900"s dual core processor.

The chip is Intel Atom Z2580 code named Clovertrail+ clocked at 1.8 GHz. At it"s peak, this chip can go up to 2GHz while at low power, it can go down to 800 MHz for power saving.

Ideaphone K900 features very smooth experience in normal usage, gaming, browsing, and advanced use of Android phones. This is not just the result of the 1.8 GHz Intel Atom processor but is also a result of the additional 2 GB of RAM for multitasking and PowerVR SGX544 for graphics processing.

These processing powers just adds sweetness to the Android 2.2 Jelly Bean that Ideaphone K900 will use as its operating system. A quick look at the new features of Android 4.2 will awe you more.

Thin Metallic Body and Scratch Resistant Gorilla Glass

The Lenovo K900 is enclosed in a metallic casing making it feel premium unlike the cheap feeling you get with Samsung"s Galaxy. Add to this the fact that it"s very thin - just 6.9 mm!

You can choose the casing for your K900. There is a plain back cover with the Lenovo and Intel logo only and there is another one with patterns on it.

Clumsy girls and adventurous boys need not worry when they choose a Lenovo Ideaphone K900 since it is using Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Take a knife or a key and run it on the screen of an Ideaphone K900 and it will be an exercise of futility.

All in all, Lenovo Ideaphone K900 might be the toughest phone in its category right now.

K900"s 5.5" IPS Screen and 13 MP BSI Camera with Dual LED Flash

Here"s for you, multimedia lovers.

Lenovo Ideaphone K900 has a 1080 x 1920 pixel high definition IPS capacitive display and a resolution of 441 pixels per inch. That means K900"s display is as clear as a crystal in any angle and with any picture, text, video or 3D graphics.

With K900, you"re just a click away from taking very high quality photos since it is equipped with a 13 Megapixel camera at it"s back. It is located at the top part of the back and has a backside illuminated sensor for taking photos during low light situations.

The 13 MP camera can be focused by touching someone or something at the screen. You can also tag your photos with the place they are taken. The best part is K900"s ability to detect faces when taking photos. So much for digital cameras.

For people who use skype to video call, there"s a 2 Megapixel front camera for you.

Lenovo K900"s Connectivity Features

K900 will have the essential connectivity features like dual sim capability, WiFi and WiFi hotspot, 3G, EGDE, GPRS, GSM, Bluetooth and microUSB.

A downside is that K900 will not have 4G capability. But 4G can only be enjoyed by people in 4G covered places.

Are you going to choose Lenovo Ideaphone K900?

K900 has all the features that I want with a smartphone. It"s thin, powerful, sleek, connected and high definition.

However, the 5.5" size is not for my tiny Pinoy hands. I"ll just be contented with my Cherry Mobile Flare for now. Plus, I don"t have the $ 500+ to spend on this phone.

How about you? Are you going to choose Lenovo Ideaphone K900?
